Interior architecture major project part 2

(A&D)

18 points + 4 hours per week of lectures and supervised studio + 32 hours per week of research, project work and independent study + Second semester + Caulfield + Prerequisite: IAR4107 + Co-requisite: TAD4522

Synopsis: Projects are student-generated and complex, usually addressing specialized commercial contexts. Building construction, detailing and specifications are researched and documentation of these aspects is required as part of the project requirements. Students undertake detailed design development stemming from their earlier research studies in specific contemporary discourses and practices pertaining to their project. Students develop a fully professional resolution of all technical, philosophical and aesthetic aspects of their individual projects.

Assessment: Project planning exercise: 10% + Set projects and class papers: 90%
