Assessment: Research essay (2000 words): 40% + Examination (2 hours): 40% + Class participation: 10% + Tutorial exercises (500 words): 10% + Third-year students will be expected to demonstrate a more critical familiarity with the historiography of their subject in their research essay and demonstrate more sophisticated analytical skills
