GSE3306Electrical network analysis(ENG)
4 points + 26 lecture hours and 26 tutorial/laboratory hours + 8 hour residential school (OCDL) + Second semester + Gippsland/OCDL + Prerequisites: GEG1503 or ENG1301, GAS2642 or GSE2703 + Prohibition: GEG2543 Synopsis: Application of differential equations and Laplace transform, Heaviside and convolution techniques to circuit modelling and analysis, transfer function representation. Fourier series representation and analysis, harmonic spectra, Fourier and discrete Fourier transforms. Polyphase systems; balanced and unbalanced, 3 or 4 wires, star or delta connected systems. Star-delta transformations. Complex power and power measurement. Assessment: Examination: 70% + Laboratory sessions and assignments: 30% |
