6 points + 2 hours per week + First semester + Gippsland, Berwick and OCDL + Prerequisites: GSC2903, GSC2905 or GSC2907 or permission (GSC2901 and GSC2902 or equivalents for students who commenced prior to 1999)

Synopsis: This unit considers journalism in both an international and a regional context. Students gain an understanding of Asian values for journalism and the impact this might have on Australian journalism.

Assessment: Two media articles (total 1500 words): 50% + Research essay and proposal (total 3000 words): 50%
