Synopsis: This unit focuses on the political social economic ideas that shaped the world during the 20th Century and especially since 1945. This unit will foster an understanding of the ideas and beliefs that continue to shape the lives of people and activites of states in the contemporary international political system.

Assessment: Essay 1 (1000 words): 20% + Essay 2 (1500 words): 40% + Examination (2 hours): 40%
