Synopsis: Component 1: Language. Syllabus, assessment and textbooks as for GRN1115 part 1. Component 2: Social and cultural history of German-speaking countries from the End of World War II to the present day.

Assessment: Examinations (3 hours): 75% + Regular short homework exercises: 25%
