Synopsis: Extends the student's existing insight, commitment and ability to communicate therapeutically. It is designed to expand the student's awareness of how a broad range of sensitively and competently applied communication strategies can facilitate nursing effectiveness, enhance the client's sense of well-being, and promote harmonious and effective professional relations. Content draws on insights from health psychology and strategies that promote effective interpersonal and organisational communication.

Assessment: Three assignments: 100%
