Synopsis: The network layer, design issues, routing and congestion control algorithms; the transport layer, design issues, connection management; the application layer, applications including email, WWW and multimedia, security, network management; the Internet. Access to the university's computer systems through an Internet service provider is compulsory for off-campus students.
