FRN3525French Studies 3/VB(ART)
Patrick Durel 6 points + 4 hours per week + Second semester + Clayton + Prerequisite: FRN3515 Synopsis: This unit will pay particular attention to specific expository techniques: synthese and expose. Students will continue to familiarise themselves with issues in contemporary France, with emphasis on documents representative of the discourses of the social sciences. They will further develop their critical awareness of these issues. The subject constitutes an excellent preparation for the DALF exam (B3, B4), a prerequisite when seeking entry to most postgraduate courses in French universities and applying for French government scholarships. Assessment: Two take home assignments (1800 words): 15% + Two class assignments (1200 words): 15% + Two oral presentations: 30% + Final examination: 25% + Continuous assessment: 15% |
