FRN1310French Studies 1/IIIA(ART)
Natalie Doyle 6 points + 4 hours per week + First semester + Clayton + Prerequisites: VCE 3/4 French Synopsis: Through a program consisting of four workshops students will develop their comprehension and analysis of communication in French in a variety of spoken and written discourses and registers as witnessed by a range of authentic audio-visual and print texts. Students will practise and develop their oral skills and their writing skills. Students will develop factual knowledge of the historical, political, social and cultural issues informing French life and identity in the postwar decades and make analytical and critical readings of representative texts, developing their expository and analytical oral and writing skills in this area. Assessment: Oral production: 35% + Written grammar exercises: 15% + written production: 30% + Final written examination: 20% |
