Printmaking Studio 1G

(A&D)

12 points + First semester + Caulfield + 24 hours per week, including 8 contact hours and 16 independent study hours + Prerequisites: Pass in studio-based art course other than printmaking

Synopsis: This is the first subject of the Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma in Fine Arts (Printmaking stream). The subject is directed at graduates specialising in another fine arts studio who wish to explore the ways that printmaking might enrich their visual arts practice. The subject recognises that the traditional skills of the printmaking studio cannot be seen in isolation from wider art practice. Students will work closely with the lecturer to determine the best ways that printmaking methods might be used in order to realise the student's artistic goals in the setting of the printmaking studio. Studio access and technical support are integral.

Assessment: Folio: 100%
