Introduction to multimedia computing

6 points + 2-hour lecture and 1-hour tutorial per week + First semester + Caulfield, Gippsland (OCDL) + Prohibitions: CSE5900, GCO5900 + Note: Students will enrol in this unit under the codes CSE5900 or GCO5900

Synopsis: Technical aspects of web-site construction including HTML, CGI, JavaScript and Java. Tools for creation of graphical and audio content. Applications of principles of design to typography, photography, cinematography, music, sound and interactive multimedia. Legal issues, usability testing and security.

Assessment: Examination (2 hrs): 50% + Assignments: 50%
