Synopsis: A long essay or minor thesis on an approved topic of the candidate's own choice. The thesis topic should be decided upon before the end of the previous year so much of the work may be done during the long vacation and first semester. There will be a short subject in methodology during the first semester and a series of seminars to discuss work in progress.
