Synopsis: Economic and social rationales for a lifelong approach to learning. Formal, non-formal and alternative education pathways. Lifelong learning for enhancement of vocational education and training, and for personal growth and democratic participation.

Assessment: Seminar Presentation (= 2000 words) 25%; Essay (4000 words for MEd students, 6000 words for EdD students): 75%
