EDF6202Establishing, maintaining and evaluating an immersion program(EDU) Not offered in 2002 12 points + 3 hours per week + Second semester + Clayton + Prerequisites: A three-year major post-Year 12 in a language other than English or its recognised equivalent and a recognised initial teaching qualification Synopsis: Principles and theories of curriculum and syllabus design with a direct impact on the production of bilingual/immersion LOTE programs. Skills for producing an effective bilingual program and strategies for maintaining and evaluating it. The relationship between the Curriculum Standards Frameworks for the key learning areas and their delivery in a LOTE. Assessment: Evaluation proposal (1500 words): 25% + Essay (3000 words): 25% + Outline of a bilingual/immersion program (1500 words): 50% |
