EDF5435Methods and practice of teaching economics B(EDU) Not offered in 2002 Ms A Forsyth 6 points + 3 hours per week + Second semester + Clayton (on-campus)/Gippsland (OCDL) + Prerequisites: EDF5434 Synopsis: This unit builds on the concepts introduced in EDF5434. The major focus of this unit will be to further develop strategies and pedagogy appropriate for teaching Economics in Years 7 to 12. Assessment: Unit of work: 50%, Teaching Portfolio: 30%, Class activities: 20% + Students must complete at least 45 days teaching practice (50 for double degree students) and gain a rating of satisfactory for the teaching practice. (On-campus students) Student participation in the unit is vital and an 80% attendance requirement is required so students can fully participate in the workshops. |
