6 points + 3 hours per week + Second semester + Clayton (on-campus) + Prerequisites: EDF5430

Synopsis: This unit builds on the concepts introduced in EDF5430. The major focus of this unit will be to further develop strategies and pedagogy appropriate for teaching Accounting and Business Management at the secondary level.

Assessment: Unit of work: 50%, Teaching Portfolio: 30%, Class activities: 20% + Student participation in the unit is vital and an 80% attendance requirement is required so students can fully participate in the workshops + Teaching practice also forms a major part of the assessment of EDF5430 and EDF5431 and students must complete at least 45 days teaching practice (50 for double degree students) and gain a rating of satisfactory for the teaching practice.
