Synopsis: This subject is designed to introduce students to the practical application of financial modelling using modern computer tools. The subject covers both financial theory and modelling and computer modelling methodology, DCF analysis, risk measurement, shareholder value analysis, spreadsheet modelling, transfer pricing, capital planning and financing, activity-based costing, accounts receivable and inventory, statement analysis and forecasting.

Assessment: Semester 1 & 2: Examination (2 hours): 75% + Assignments: 25% + Students must pass the examination in order to pass the subject. Semester 3: Examination (2 hours): 50% + Assignments: 50%
