BUS3750Introductory intelligent techniques for business modelling(IT)
C Lee 6 points + One 2-hour lecture and one 1-hour tutorial per week + Second Semester, Clayton + Prerequisites: Completion of 12 points (2 units) from BUS2011, BUS2120, BUS2062,BUS2176, or equivalent + Prohibitions: BUS5750 Synopsis: Intelligent techniques provide powerful and effective tools for problem solving and are being successfully applied in a variety of business modelling tasks. The subject introduces several main branches of intelligent techniques used for business modelling and builds the skills necessary to develop models for solving practical business problems using relevant software. The techniques considered include neurocomputing, evolutionary computing, fuzzy techniques, expert systems, neurofuzzy computing, evolutionary neurocomputing, intelligent and conventional technique-hybridized computing.
