C Lee 6 points + Two 1-hour lectures and one 1-hour tutorial per week + Second semester, Clayton + Second semester, Malaysia + Second semester, South Africa + Prohibitions: SYS1001, IMS1001 Synopsis: Application of computer-based information systems to business. The establishment, maintenance and operation of systems for the processing and recording of business transactions, inventory, sales, purchasing and financial reporting. The integration of these areas into business-wide systems. Introduction to the need for, and application of, controls in systems and the use of appropriate software. Assessment: Assignments: 30% + Examination (2 hours): 70% + Students must pass the examination in order to pass the subject. |
