48 points + Full Year + Clayton + Average of 4 hours seminars per week in first semester at Clayton. Prerequisites: Bachelor of Behavioural Neuroscience, and a 70% average or better in 24 credit points of core third year behavioural neuroscience units.

Synopsis: Students enrolled in BNS4000 will be required to undertake a major research project in an area of behavioural neuroscience. Since this unit is intended for students not wishing to gain registration as a psychologist it is a non-accredited APS sequence. Students will gain specialized research skills and an advanced understanding in an area of behavioural neuroscience. BNS4000 will be administered through the School of Psychology, Psychiatry and Psychological Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences.

Assessment: Thesis: 70% + Literature review: 10% + Ethics exam: 5% + Research design and analysis assignment: 10% + Oral presentation of thesis: 5%
