APA4501Jewellery/metals design 1G(A&D)
3 points + First semester + Caulfield + 2 taught studio hours and 4 independent study hours per week Synopsis: This subject explores design theory as a tool for developing concepts and aesthetic concerns. Emphasis is placed on the development of both practical and theoretical skills. Design methodology demonstrates the processes involved in developing work from the initial concept through to planning and completion of individual projects. A study of contemporary design issues, with a particular focus on jewellery and metalsmithing, is also included. Assessment: Folio: 80% + Assigned projects: 20% |
