APA2504Jewellery/metals practice and theory 4(A&D)
12 points + 8 studio hours and 16 independent study hours per week + Second semester + Caulfield + Prerequisites: APA2503 Synopsis: Students become increasingly responsible for the delivery of their major study program, with emphasis on independent investigation. This, combined with staff consultation starts to determine students' continuing focus for future studio work. Through lectures, seminars and gallery visits, students investigate the role of contemporary craft practice and the nature of the object in contemporary society. Debates on issues of aesthetic, technical and cultural relevance are encouraged. Assessment: Folio: 80% + Assigned projects: 20% |
