Synopsis: This subject aims to give students an understanding of the conceptual framework of business finance and to develop the skills of analysis and evaluation needed in applying the concepts in a practical situation. Topics covered include theory of valuation, capital budgeting, working capital policy, efficient market theory, cost of capital, dividend policy and financial analysis.

Assessment: Assignments (4000 words): 30% + Class assessment: 10% + Examination (3 hours): 60%
