Diploma of Wine Technology and Marketing


General information

The Diploma of Wine Technology and Marketing is an undergraduate diploma course of eight units (48 points) designed for students who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree at any Australian university. The units are ordered in sequence from core sciences, to applied sciences (viticulture and oenology), to the business management and marketing units. The part-time course is multidisciplinary in nature and will be offered by flexible delivery to create a study program which will be compatible with the units in the degree program concurrently undertaken by the student. The course is designed to introduce students to the many facets of the wine industry and therefore will be useful to those intending to seek employment in this area.

Entry requirements

Entry will be open only to students who have enrolled in an undergraduate degree at any Australian university.

Fees

Fees will depend upon the student's residency status. Local residents will be liable for the fees set by the government under the Higher Education Contribution Scheme (HECS) or on a full-fee-paying basis. Advanced standing (credit for work done elsewhere)

No more than 24 points credit are available for studies in other awards.

Mode of offering

The diploma is offered on-campus by flexible delivery at the Peninsula campus and by off-campus distributed learning. All units except marketing theory and practice have a compulsory residential block of three to five days.
