Diploma in Arts (Aboriginal Studies)


Course code: 2448
The Diploma in Arts (Aboriginal Studies) is offered at the Clayton and Gippsland campuses (a first-year sequence is also available at Caulfield). The diploma is a 48-point course, which can be taken concurrently with any other Monash University degree course, and is designed to enable students to explore Australian Indigenous cultures, histories and traditions. The course aims to provide students with an understanding of Australian Indigenous cultures and will enable students to become actively and constructively involved in the process of reconciliation. The diploma comprises eight six-point units taken from the Centre for Australian Indigenous Studies (CAIS) offerings.
