The following is a list of the alpha prefixes that identify the 'discipline' area. A discipline is an area of study, eg history or English. A full-time, first-year student would be expected to choose four areas of study or 'disciplines'. You can use this list to help you locate the units for a particular discipline in the unit section of the handbook.
