The
Schools of Nursing at Monash University and Deakin University have combined to
bring together curriculums in the Graduate Certificate of Nursing (Community
Health and Development) that is reflective of contemporary community health
nursing practice requirements.
Applicants would normally have a Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent;
registration with the Nurses Board of Victoria (eg Division 1 or be eligible
for registration); and at least one year of nursing experience.
This course may be undertaken part-time, by off-campus distributed learning, or by flexible learning mode (ie a combination of on and off-campus distributed learning modes). Satisfactory completion of the course requires studies totalling 24 credit points of study over one year. Students are required to undertake two of the following core units and two elective units.
Assessment includes essays, case conferencing, project and assignments.
