Graduate Certificate in Family Medicine


General information

The Graduate Certificate in Family Medicine is a clinical course in general practice offered by off-campus distributed learning. The course is designed to meet the educational needs of general practitioners seeking up-skilling and doctors training for general practice. The course will be conducted part-time over a 12-month period and is available to registered medical practitioners in clinical general practice or general practice training. Articulation to the Graduate Diploma or Master of Family Medicine is also possible upon completion of the graduate certificate.

Course structure

The course consists of two compulsory core units plus a selection of modules and/or electives similar to those offered under the Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine.

Assessment

Assessment is by coursework participation, assignments with occasional special projects and examination.
