The Graduate Certificate of Business (Management) is designed primarily for
graduates who wish to extend their knowledge and understanding of management
theory and management practice. The course makes use of case studies and
business applications to gain insights into the independent, complex and
dynamic nature of managerial work.
Applicants require a pass degree or an equivalent qualification from a
recognised tertiary institution Applicants without a first degree who have a
minimum of six years appropriate employment experience should refer to the
section on executive certificates. Candidates may be eligible for a maximum of
two credit exemptions for units considered to be equivalent to particular units
in the course of study and is restricted to study completed in the last five
years. Refer to the course director for further details.
This is a fee-paying course. Candidates should consult the Faculty of Business
and Economics -- Gippsland as to the 2002 course fee. Course fees are set and
reviewed annually and are therefore subject to change.
Students who successfully complete the Graduate Certificate of Business
(Management) may apply for admission to the Graduate Diploma of Business
(Management).

course consists of two core units and two elective units.

Two elective units from any complementary graduate-level unit that satisfies
the objectives and standards of this award and are selected, subject to
availability, with the advice of the course director. Candidates should be
aware of the compulsory unit requirements of the Graduate Diploma of Business
(Management) should future articulation into this course be a consideration.
