Graduate Certificate in Regional Economic Development

The Graduate Certificate in Regional Economic Development is designed specifically for people in business and state or local governmental institutions who currently hold a university degree and wish to upgrade their skills and knowledge in the theoretical principles and policies of regional economic development.
Applicants require a pass degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution. A key selection criterion will be an assessment of whether the applicant possesses the experience and ability to successfully complete the course. Applicants without a first degree who have a minimum of six years appropriate employment experience should refer to the section on executive certificates.
Candidates may be eligible for a maximum of two credit exemptions for units considered to be equivalent to particular units in the course of study. Credit is restricted to study completed in the last five years. Refer to the course director for further details.
This is a fee-paying course. Candidates should consult the Faculty of Business and Economics -- Gippsland as to the 2002 course fee. Course fees are set and reviewed annually and are therefore subject to change.
