Candidates develop a written proposal that outlines the proposed project,
places the research within the context of the scholarly literature and
provisionally outlines the methodology by which it might be brought to a
conclusion. Candidates will be examined entirely on the basis of the written
paper, which should be between 40,000 and 60,000 words with an upper limit of
75,000 words.
Applicants should hold an honours degree with a grade of H2A or above, its equivalent or an approved fourth year of study (eg a graduate diploma).
