Objectives

The course provides students with the skills to practise both law and computer science as a professional in either or both areas, and covers the basic and advanced details of knowledge in both areas. Graduates will be able to bring their computing skills to a range of legal applications and their legal skills to the practice of computing and information technology.

Entry requirements

An ENTER score sufficient for admission to the LLB degree. VCE English units 3 and 4 with a minimum grade of 25 and Mathematical Methods units 3 and 4 with an average grade of 20.

Credit provision

Credit for previous studies may be given, up to a maximum of two-thirds of the BCS component of the course, or one-half of the LLB component of the course.

Length of course

Five years of full-time study or 10 years of part-time study.

Fee structure

HECS-liable, in bands 2 (IT) and 3 (Law)
