Bachelor of Music (Honours)

To be eligible for entry to the BMus(Hons) program, students must have achieved
distinction grades in at least 24 points of music at second and third-year
levels.
- MUS4030 Special project: practical study, with extended, fully
annotated concert recital and essay (or other approved project)
and
three of the following eight-point subjects:
- MUS4010 Applied music
- MUS4200 Keyboard music
- MUS4580 Contemporary music
- MUS4980 Music pedagogy
- MUS4760 Special project: folio of compositions plus concert
performance of at least one composition with program notes
- MUS4420 Research methods
and two of the following:
- MUS4580 Contemporary music
- MUS4270 World music, popular culture and song writing in Australia
and Asia
- MUS4200 Keyboard music
plus two of the following:
- MUS4200 Keyboard music
- MUS4580 Contemporary music
- MUS4980 Music pedagogy
plus the following two subjects:
- MUS4640 Fieldwork techniques and technology
- MUS4860 Music of Southeast Asia II: Thailand
All
