SON4010Embryology, anatomy and pathophysiology(MED)
6 points + First semester + Clayton + off campus distributed learning + 12 hours of study per week + Prerequisite:Entry into the Graduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound course Synopsis: This subject explores the events of embryonic development and the embryonic development of the digestive, urinary, reproductive and endocrine systems. The gross, topographical and sectional anatomy of the organs and pathophysiologic concepts and specific pathophysiologic processes associated with the digestive, urinary, reproductive and endocrine systems will also be addressed. A key component of the subject is the development of image recognition skills in relation to the cross-sectional, coronal and sagittal display of these organs and structures. Assessment: Examination (3 hours) 55% + 2 Assignments 30% + Sectional anatomy recognition examination 15% |
