Synopsis: Role of ultrasound in the examination of the male and female reproductive system, the thyroid and neck. Further clinical instruction for participation in sonographic examinations of the abdominal organs to a basic competency. Additional study of the adult upper abdominal ultrasound examination with an emphasis of the relevance of laboratory data and clinical history will be undertaken. Professional behaviour and ethics relating to ultrasound.

Assessment: Examination (3 hours): 60% + Multistation recognition examination: 20% + Major assignment (2000 words): 20%
