Synopsis: This subject will introduce the student to basic contemporary theories of management including motivation theory. The traditional management roles of planning, organising, directing and controlling will be explored and applied to the context of the ambulance team manager. Theories and practice related to leadership, role and function in planning, organising, human resource management will be discussed and related to the clinical pre-hospital environment.
