6 points + 2 hours per week + Second semester + Clayton + Prerequisites: MUS2490, MUS2495, MUS2480, MUS2485 or previous relevant practical experience and audition

Synopsis: (i) Orchestral lessons, rehearsals and concert performances of selected works, (ii) the socio-historical and theoretical study of music and its repertoire in context, and (iii) guidance in composing works in local style(s).

Assessment: Performance (including practice/performance diary): 50% + Music theory assignment: 10% + Essay (2000 words): 40% OR Composition assignment: 40%
