Orchestral and Choral Performance and Studies

Synopsis: Students are allocated to an orchestral or choral ensemble for the performance of selected music and to play an appropriate repertoire. Rehearsals also deal with repertoire, performance techniques and musicianship. Students focus their performance within the context of technical issues and limitations to gain an understanding of factors which lead to accurate performance.

Assessment: Written (1500 words): 30% + Concert performance and practical examination (equivalent 3000 words): 70%
