Orchestral and choral performance and studies

6 points + 4 hours per week + First semester + Clayton + Prerequisites: audition

Synopsis: Students are allocated to an orchestral or choral ensemble for the performance of selected music and to play an appropriate repertoire. Rehearsals also deal with repertoire, performance techniques and musicianship. Students focus their performance within a historical context to gain an understanding of performance practice.

Assessment: Written (1500 words): 30% + Concert performance and practical examination (equivalent 3000 words): 70%
