Synopsis: A survey of the history of keyboard instruments from the earliest hydraulic organ to the latest electronic reconstruction. In terms of repertoire, the /peak0 pieces are examined against the background of styles and forms of lesser known works, with selected works studied in detail.

Assessment: Four short assignments (1000) words: 10% + Four class papers (15 minutes each): 10% + Essay (4000 words): 40% + Examination (3 hours): 40%
