Synopsis: A set of twelve laboratory experiments designed to illustrate material covered in other level-2 materials engineering subjects, to give students /hands on0 experience of a variety of physical and chemical phenomena of engineering importance, and to introduce the students to a number of materials characterisation and measurement techniques.

Assessment: Long reports: 50% + Short reports: 50%
