Ergonomic and physical hazards

6 points + off campus distributed learning (with 20 contact hours over 4 days) + Second semester + Caulfield General Medical Centre

Synopsis: Physical hazards encountered in the occupational and general environment and the methods of recognition, evaluation and control that may be applied to them. The introduction of the principles and practice of ergonomics and occupational hygine as applied to physical hazards. Biomechanics, physical design of tasks, task physiology and perception, noise, radiations, thermal environments and pressure effects.
