Ethical, legal and professional issues

6 points + Distance/ Caulfield + First Semester + One 5-day residential school (compulsory)

Synopsis: This subject provides an orientation to the ethical, legal and professional issues that confront psychologists in professional practice. These issues include the mutual responsibilities of the members of a team in which a psychologist may work; common practical problems in working with clients and organisations, and understanding legislation as it applies to psychological practice.

Assessment: Essay (2000 words): 30% + Case study (2000 words): 30% + Examination (3 hours): 40%
