MHP5021Professional psychology in rural and remote communities(SCI)
6 points + Distance/ Caulfield + One 5-day residential school (compulsory) + First Semester Synopsis: In this subject students will be introduced to some of the factors that differentiate metropolitan life from rural life. Students will also examine the health status and needs of particular groups in rural communities including women, Aboriginal people, and individuals with a disability. Problems associated with ongoing professional development in these communities will also be outlined. Assessment: Interview report (2000 words): 50% + Class presentation (2000 words): 50% |
