Introduction to health psychology

6 points + Distance/ Caulfield + One 5-day residential school (compulsory) + First Semester

Synopsis: The aim of this subject is to introduce students to the field of health psychology by developing an understanding of the different models of health and illness and the theoretical underpinnings of the area. The application of these models in the Australian rural context will also be explored.

Assessment: Journal article (2000 words): 40% + Class presentation (1000 words): 20% + Examination (3 hours): 40%
