Synopsis: The subject explores the practicalities of managing people aspects, specifically relating the selection and training of staff, job design, rewards systems, industrial relations, occupational health and safety, and quality management to the broader context of management theory particularly individual difference theory, perception theory, motivation theory, theories of empowerment and participation, the management of human resources and TQM.

Assessment: Group presentation: 20% + Group assignment: 20% + Individual assignment (6000 words): 60%
