Topics include: the foreign policy settings and processes in Beijing and Washington; Korea foreign policy in the 1980s; Japan's role vis a vis the United States-China relationship; ASEAN, APEC and other regional organisations: between Eagle and Dragon; impact of the Soviet Union's collapse on the US-China relationship: one China?
