MGX5930Business and government in the Asia Pacific(BUS)
6 points + 3-hour class per week + Second semester + City + Distance Synopsis: The subject is designed to give an understanding of some of the key values, and legal, ethical and behavioural issues that may affect a business-government relationship, including theoretical perspectives. Throughout the subject, the requirements of ethics and propriety in maintaining public trust are emphasised. Students should gain an understanding of some major contributions to debates about trends in the recent decades in the relationships between businesses and governmental organisations internationally, with special reference to several Asian societies. Assessment: Research essay (3000 words): 30% + Research essay presentation: 10% + Class presentation (syndicate, 15 minutes): 15% + Final examination: 45% |
