MGX5461Contemporary issues in globalisation(BUS)
Professor Chris Nyland 6 points + Summer semester + Caulfield + One three-hour class per week + Prerequisites: MGX5171 or MGX9110 or four subjects in the Graduate Diploma in International Business Synopsis: Students examine globalisation and assess its implications for the governance of the business enterprise, nation states, and relations between business and government. The subject also examines the difficulties that globalisation creates for nations and multinational enterprises in both the emerging and developed world, the open markets, and the policy responses proposed to balance economic, social and political costs. Assessment: Essay (4000 words): 50% + Presentation paper (2000 words): 20% + Examination (2 hours): 30% |
